Each of our 62 one-bedroom apartments includes a kitchen, carpeted living room and bedroom, and tiled bathroom. Emergency pull cords, individually controlled heating and cooling, and cable accessibility are included for each of our residents. We also have handicap-accessible apartments available.

Larry Brown brings to Dunn Road Manor a tremendous wealth of experience as a minister, educator, counselor, and community developer; plus he has more than a decade of work with persons having disabilities and handicaps. Larry has worked with and serves on the boards of a number of organizations that deal with senior issues including OASIS, the Singer Institute, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Regional Asthma Consortium.

The service coordinator for Dunn Road Manor, Janice Williams relishes the chance to build wholesome, healthy relationships with each of the residents she serves. With more than 20 years of professional experience in the social service industry, Janice has gained the knowledge and understanding needed to effectively support the needs of seniors. She possesses a strong passion for empowering others through the provision of quality services, resources, and support. As a life-long advocate for aging, disabled, and low-income populations, Janice is committed to the task of ensuring that each resident continues to live a life of fullness and enrichment.

Pastoral Care at Dunn Road Manor
Welcome to Dunn Road Manor! My name is Deaconess Stephanie Meyer, and it is a privilege and honor to serve you as chaplain on staff. Lutheran Senior Services, in living out its Christian mission, recognizes that each person’s spiritual needs and faith resources are integral parts of living life to the fullest as an older adult. Aware that this time of your life provides both unique challenges and blessings, I want to serve as a companion on your journey. As your chaplain I can provide: pastoral conversation, private devotions, prayer, hospital visitation, contact with your congregation/pastor, Bible classes and presentations on various spiritual topics, occasional worship services, help planning your funeral celebration or discussion about end-of-life concerns with you and your family.

Deaconess Stephanie Meyer has been a chaplain with Lutheran Senior Services (LSS) Affordable Housing at Rose Hill House, Halls Ferry Manor and Dunn Road Manor since July 2008. Previous to LSS, Stephanie completed training as a deaconess with the Lutheran Deaconess Association in Valparaiso, Indiana, including a parish internship as family/youth director. She has resided in St. Louis with her husband, Joel, since 2004. Stephanie has completed two Clinical Pastoral Education residencies—Laclede Groves Convalescent Home (LSS), 2004-2005, and Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, 2005-2006. She is currently studying at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis.

Administrator of Stewardship

Kirk Mattes, Administrator of Stewardship for Lutheran Senior Services, joined Lutheran Senior Services in 2000. Prior to joining Lutheran Senior Services, he was vice president of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Foundation’s Gift Planning Services. As the Administrator of Stewardship, Kirk oversees a professional staff deployed to the various Lutheran Senior Services communities. He has a wealth of experience, helping people deal with financial challenges and opportunities. When not working, he enjoys trying to keep up with his grandchildren, playing racquetball and rooting for the Cardinals.
