Emergency pull cords, individually controlled heating and cooling, and cable television accessibility are included for each of our residents. We also have handicap-accessible apartments available.

About Lutheran Senior Services Affordable Housing
Welcome to Hilltop Manor! We are an independent living community for seniors 62 and over with low income. We have planned activities in our community room, chaplaincy care, library, computers with internet access, coin operated laundry room, and a beautiful covered patio. You will feel safe and secure here at Hilltop, with our on-site management. We have a full-time Maintenance Supervisor and Service Coordinator to lend you support when needed. Hilltop Manor is located in Eureka, Missouri, close to restaurants, shopping, hospitals, medical offices and pharmacies. Come by for a visit or call for more information. Members of Our Team
The Community Manager at Hilltop Manor, Debbie Fakes has 20 years’ experience in management, contract management, and contract negotiations, in addition to 18 years’ experience with the aging population and a degree in Gerontology from Lindenwood University. Debbie joined the Lutheran Senior Service’s team in 2007 as a Service Coordinator and received the American Professional Service Coordinator Certificate from Ohio University. In 2008 Debbie won the HAHMA award for Best Service Coordinator under 100 units. She lives in Eureka, Missouri, with her husband, Gary. They have three children and two grandchildren.
The Service Coordinator of Hilltop Manor, Michelle Herrick graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and has completed master’s level classes in both Marketing and Education. She has completed a certificate program in Gerontology through Jefferson College and took her Professional Service Coordinator exam through Ohio State University. She is a certified Service Coordinator along with being a trained OASIS volunteer in the area of Diabetes Self-Management. Michelle joined the LSS team in March 2006. She lives in Eureka with her husband Bryan. They have two children who are college athletes in both baseball and soccer.

Here at HIlltop Manor, our commitment to residents and staff are designed to achieve a balanced approach to the support and services provided by our Chaplains. Our goal is to provide the entire Hilltop Manor community with the fullness of God’s grace essential for balanced living through spiritual care, nurture, instruction, and faithful administration of the Sacraments.

Rev. Robert Briggs
Chaplain, LSS Affordable Housing
Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, Rev. Bob served 20 years in the US Air Force, completing overseas tours in Europe and Asia. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Massachusetts and received his Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 2004. Rev. Bob has served churches in Florissant, Spanish Lake, and St. Charles before receiving the call to serve LSS residents. He and his wife Lisa Marie have two grown children.
Chaplain Amy Upchurch
Chaplain, LSS Affordable Housing
Chaplain Amy received a Master of Parish Education degree and Director of Christian Education (DCE) Specialist Diploma from Concordia University — Nebraska in 1999. Since receiving her degree, she has ministered in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, memory care units, and hospice care environments.

Administrator of Stewardship
Kirk Mattes, Administrator of Stewardship for Lutheran Senior Services, joined Lutheran Senior Services in 2000. Prior to joining Lutheran Senior Services, he was vice president of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Foundation’s Gift Planning Services. As the Administrator of Stewardship, Kirk oversees a professional staff deployed to the various Lutheran Senior Services communities. He has a wealth of experience, helping people deal with financial challenges and opportunities. When not working, he enjoys trying to keep up with his grandchildren, playing racquetball and rooting for the Cardinals.
