School’s Back in Session at
The Village at Mackenzie Place

LSS’ newest community, The Village at Mackenzie Place, is currently being built on the grounds of an old Affton High School building. And it turns out the building still has a few lessons left to teach.

Industrial technology instructor Ken Steinbrueck from Lutheran High School South has brought classrooms full of students to tour the old building as a living architectural history lesson, giving students a chance to see how buildings were constructed 50 years ago, and then compare them to the modern construction techniques being employed on the new buildings at the Mackenzie Place campus.

Steinbrueck and his students were featured in a recent issue of the South County Times.
