Residents and future residents packed the house at Concordia Village to see Switchback, a band out of Chicago that specializes in traditional Irish folk music as well as some rockin’ contemporary compositions of their own creation.
Bandmates Marty McCormack (with the long hair) and Brian FitzGerald (with the short) have made quite a name for themselves during the past 20 years on Irish radio and the folk music scene in the US. Switchback has performed with Celtic musicians like Cherish the Ladies, Gaelic Storm, Liz Carroll, and Star Wars theme composer John Williams in front of crowds of up to 15,000 people. Concordia Village was very happy to wrangle such an amazing band.
