Who Can Use Volunteer Money Management?
Volunteer Money Management serves adults age 60 and better and those age 50-plus with disabilities. To participate, you must maintain an active checking account and be able to sign any check the volunteer writes for you.
We serve St. Louis city and county as well as St. Charles and Jefferson counties in Missouri. We serve St. Clair, Madison, and Monroe counties in Illinois. Just a few of the communities we serve include:

Director of Outreach Services
The Director of Outreach Services, Carol Melka, joined LSS in 2000 and has over nine years of experience with elder care and community resource planning. She has a master’s degree in social work with an emphasis in gerontology from the Brown School at Washington University. She also has a Missouri License in Clinical Social Work. She is active on the community advisory committees for Behavioral Health Response and the Arthritis Foundation.
Volunteer Money Management receives many requests for services and there is always a demand for additional, caring people to become involved. Our volunteers:
- Pay clients bills with client’s funds
- Assist with organizing records to track monthly bills
- Assist with establishment of budget
