LeadingAge Missouri Names Lutheran Senior Services President & CEO Adam Marles Chair of the Board

September 30, 2024 – St. Louis, Missouri – LeadingAge Missouri has named Adam Marles, Lutheran Senior Services (LSS) President & CEO, the new Chair of the Board.

LeadingAge Missouri is a membership association representing the entire continuum of nonprofit aging services providers across the state, dedicated to expanding the world of possibilities in the aging field. Led by a Board of Directors, the association staff, committees and task forces of volunteer members around the state help to develop and oversee governing policies., programs, and positions.

“It is an honor to be chosen to serve,” said Marles. “I look forward to providing leadership as we use advocacy, education, applied research, and community-building to make Missouri a better place to age.”

This role is something of a homecoming for Marles. Prior to joining LSS in 2021 he served as president and CEO of LeadingAge PA. LeadingAge Missouri and LeadingAge PA are not directly affiliated but are both part of the LeadingAge national network.

“LeadingAge is all about bringing together the most inventive minds in the field to lead and innovate solutions that support older adults wherever they call home,” said Bill Bates, CEO of LeadingAge MO. “We are delighted to have Adam Marles as our Chairman of the Board!”

Under Marles’ leadership, Lutheran Senior Services has grown to become the 11th largest non-profit senior living provider in the United States. In addition to his time with LeadingAge PA, Marles has served as Senior Vice President, Advancement and Strategic Initiatives, for Phoebe-Devitt Homes, a multi-site provider based in Pennsylvania, as well as working as a practicing attorney representing health care providers.
