LSS Residents and Washington University: Intergenerational Connections

We’re so excited to have partnered with Washington University student, Molly Davis, to start a new program that pairs LSS residents with college students for an intergenerational volunteer opportunity. Learn more about how this program started, the training that students participated in, and how they’re looking to make an even bigger difference in the lives of older adults. As featured on Washington University’s website.

Over 30 students have received training by LSS on best practices for working with older adults and are now participating in weekly trips to an assisted living community in Richmond Heights where Adopt a Grandparent organizes events and facilitates individual and group activities with the residents.
