The Senior Benefits Program helps older adults identify, apply for, and access new benefits such as Medicare programs, medication assistance, and Veteran’s programs. This FREE service, made possible through the City of St. Louis Senior Fund and Lutheran Senior Services, uses a modified version of the Benefits Check Up from the National Council on Aging (NCOA) to match community resources with client needs. Benefits of the program include:
- Connections with public and private programs to meet individual needs
- Average benefit savings of $500 per participant
- In-home comprehensive needs assessment
- Follow-up case management, including one-on-one assistance for completing benefit forms
